K-9 Matyi and Handler Colin Bliese

K-9 Matyi is a sable-colored German Shepherd born on Aug. 22, 2020 in the Netherlands and understands Dutch. K-9 Matyi and State Park Peace Officer (Ranger) Bliese are assigned to the Ocotillo Wells District. K-9 Matyi is a patrol K-9 trained to find and apprehend uncooperative suspects while protecting his handler, other officers and the public. He is also certified in narcotics detection, evidence recovery and tracking. When off duty, Matyi lives with Officer Bliese and likes to stay active playing with his Chuck-it ball and showing off his athletic jumping skills.
