K-9 Aki and Handler David Elias

Aki Zulu z Martinicke' Stare' Skoly is a short-haired, sable German Shepherd. Aki was born on July 22, 2015, in the Czech Republic and weighs 80 pounds. Aki and his handler, State Park Peace Officer (Ranger) David Elias, are currently assigned to patrol Channel Coast District in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Aki is trained to find and apprehend uncooperative suspects while protecting his handler, other officers, and the public. Aki is certified in Narcotics Detection, Tracking, and Evidence Recovery. Aki lives with the Elias family and enjoys spending time with them at home when he's off duty.
