K-9 Janko and Handler Chris Hendricks

K-9 Janko was born on March 7, 2017 in the Czech Republic. In 2018, State Park Peace Officer (Supervisor) Chris Hendricks, assigned to SLO Coast district, selected Janko to be his new partner. Janko is certified as a patrol K-9, locating, and apprehending suspects, tracking and handler protection. He is also certified as a Tactical K-9 and is an active member of the San Luis Obispo Regional SWAT Team. When Janko is off duty, he enjoys chasing bees and butterflies, playing with his toys, and hanging out at home with his partner and Officer Hendricks.
