K9 Ben and handler Sasha Wessitsch

K-9 Ben and Superintendent II Sasha Wessitsh are assigned to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division. Ben is a sable German Shepherd with a black face and wrinkled forehead. He was born in the Czech Republic on June 16, 2014. Ben is certified in patrol, tracking, and narcotics detection. He is 70 lbs. of speed and agility, trained to apprehend suspects and protect his partner and the public. When Ben is not flying through the air fighting crime, he is at home chewing on pinecones and hanging out with the family.
