Description:
The Warner Hutton House is a 1,840 square foot Queen Anne-style farmhouse in Saratoga, California that was constructed in 1896. The house was threatened with demolition and was relocated to its current location in 1990. The house was listed at the local level of significance under Criterion C, as a classic example of a Queen Anne-style farmhouse. It is one of only three remaining such houses located in Saratoga and is a good surviving representation of the Queen Anne style of architecture within the City. The house meets Criterion Consideration B for moved properties because the house retains sufficient integrity. It was moved to a similar setting compatible to its original location, and has the same orientation. The minor alterations made since its relocation have not detracted from the house’s architectural qualities.
