CHRIS Information Center Locations and Contacts

The institutions listed below are under agreement with the Office of Historic Preservation to provide the following services:

  • Integrate information on new resources and known resources into the California Historical Resources Information System (CHRIS).
  • Supply information on resources and surveys to government, institutions, tribes, and individuals who have a need to know.
  • Supply a list of consultants qualified to do historic preservation fieldwork within their area.


Note: Due to the continuing realities of COVID-19, and the effect those may have on policies at the universities that host CHRIS Information Centers (ICs), it is recommended that IC patrons confirm access to facilities prior to traveling to any IC location to conduct record searches.
