The Cecil Ranch consists of a principal residence dating to 1909 and seven secondary farm buildings and one structure built over a period of time, until 1945. They include a water tower (ca. 1910), woodshed (ca. 1910), garage (ca. 1920s), equipment shed (ca. 1910), bunkhouse (ca. 1910), smokehouse (ca. 1940s), and butchery (1940s). The property reflects the evolving nature of the ranching operations in the first half of the 20th century. Cecil Ranch was listed at the local level under Criterion C in the area of architecture as an excellent example of early twentieth century residential design, combining images from two prominent architectural styles of its era – Craftsman and Colonial Revival.
