Jay Chamberlin

Jay Chamberlin has been Chief of State Parks’ Natural Resources Division since 2010. Prior to working for State Parks, Jay served as Environmental Program Manager at the California Department of Water Resources; Deputy Assistant Secretary at the California Natural Resources Agency; and as a consultant to the Ecosystem Restoration Program at the California Bay-Delta Authority.

Over the course of his career, he has held other natural resources program positions with non-profit organizations in California, Oregon, and Washington, D.C. Jay is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment. He is an enthusiastic backcountry skier, backpacker, and cyclist.
