Graduated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo majoring in Engineering.  Worked as a systems engineer for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan and Kaiser Engineers in Oakland, California and Miami, Florida.  Returned to California and spent twenty-five years working in commercial development and construction in the Sacramento region managing multi-million dollar projects.  During the course of working in the commercial development field, negotiated contracts, and remedies on a wide range of development issues, created highly effective marketing programs and operations management systems, and oversaw the delivery of many commercial developments.  Joined the California Department of Parks and Recreation Northern Service Center fifteen years ago as a Construction Project Manager.  Assumed management of the Construction and Project Management teams within the Service Center in 2002 and developed and implemented the Divisions Construction Project Management model which is still in use today.  Currently is the Division Chief/Manager of the Northern Service Center within the Acquisition and Development Group of State Parks overseeing design and implementation of Park development projects.
