Silverwood Lake boasts a diverse array of hiking and biking trails, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you're seeking a leisurely stroll along the lake, a moderate hike through lush forests, or a challenging trek with rewarding vistas, Silverwood Lake offers it all. 


 

Pacific Crest Trail (PCT)

  • Length: 2,650 miles (entire trail, but portion in the park is approximately 7 miles)
  • Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous
  • ADA Accessible: No
  • Description: This iconic trail runs from Mexico to Canada and passes through Silverwood Lake, offering stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It's popular with long-distance hikers and offers a taste of the PCT's varied terrain.

Cleghorn Nature Trail

  • Length: 1.5 miles
  • Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
  • ADA Accessible: No
  • Description: A scenic trail that winds down from the campfire center through the foothills, and to the south end of Cleghorn Beach. The trail ends at the multi-use bike path with access to the old mesa campground.

Miller Canyon Bike Trail

  • Length: 3 miles
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • ADA Accessible: No
  • Description: A picturesque trail that follows Miller Canyon along the edge of the water, featuring beautiful wildflowers in the spring and a serene, natural environment year-round.

Silverwood Lake Marina Trail

  • Length: 1.5 miles
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • ADA Accessible: Yes
  • Description: An easy, accessible trail that starts at the marina and offers lovely views of the lake. It's perfect for families and those looking for a leisurely walk.

Silverwood Lake Multi-Use Bike Trail 

  • Length: 5 mile
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • ADA Accessible: No
  • Description: The bike trail is part of the Silverwood Lake Marina Trail, starting at Sawpit Beach winding through willows cove, venturing through the Old Mesa campground, and down to Cleghorn Beach ending at the start of Graces Overlook Trail.

Graces Overlook Trail

  • Length: 2 miles
  • Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
  • ADA Accessible: No
  • Description: Trail located at the end of the bike path at Cleghorn that takes hikers to a overlook above Cleghorn beach. 

Devils Pit Overlook

  • Length: 2.5 miles
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • ADA Accessible: Yes
  • Description: Devils Pit Overlook can be accessed through the Miller Canyon Day Use area service road. This is roughly a 2.5 mile paved hike down the Miller Canyon service road to a overlook of the east fork of the Mojavie River.
