Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area offers a variety of camping experiences. The park hosts two developed campgrounds with modern amenities and group campsites for large families and organizations. With stunning views and serene surroundings, campers can immerse themselves in the beauty of Silverwood Lake, whether they're seeking adventure on the water or peaceful relaxation under the stars.


Campground Facilities

Silverwood Lake SRA has 2 designated campgrounds with 136 campsites and 6 group campsites. 

The Old Mesa Campground is composed of 95 non-hookup campsites and is located just past the park entrance kiosk.The New Mesa Campground offers 40 hook-up campsites with full power, water, and sewage hookups. New Mesa is located to the left of the park entrance kiosks behind the park's Nature Center. All campsites within both campgrounds include a fire ring, charcoal grill, and outdoor picnic table. Restrooms and coin-operated showers are also provided within the campgrounds. Non-hookup sites start at $45 a night. Hookup sites start at $50 a night. Extra vehicles are $10 per vehicle. 

Our group campsites include our Miller Canyon and Valle, Barranca, and Rio group campsites. Miller Canyon group campsites I, II, and III are located in Miller Canyon, 4 miles past the park's main entrance in the park's woodlands. The Valle, Barranca, and Rio group campsites are located to the right of the southbound Hwy 138/Silverwood Lake off ramp past the parks sector office.

The Valle, Barranca, Rio group campsites are $350 a night and hold up to 100 occupants and 30 vehicles. Each campsite offers a large fire ring, private restroom with a coin-operated shower, running water, two large canopies, a large charcoal grill, and limited power outlets. Rio group camp also includes two horse stalls for equestrian campers.

Miller Group Camp I, II, II are $250 a night and hold up to 40 occupants and 20 vehicles. Each campsite offers a large firing ring, charcoal grill, and public restroom facility. Miller Canyon group campsites do not have running water or shower facilities. Campers can utilize the New Mesa and Old Mesa showers within the park during their stay.

The park also has hike-and-bike campsites for hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail for $10 per person, per night. No vehicles are allowed in hike-and-bike sites.
