What is FOCUS?

FOCUS is the Learning Management System for California State Parks.

The new system combines the data tracking of the Employee Training Management System (ETMS) with online learning.

Aspire is our own platform for submitting internal rosters and sending Instructor Requests.

The data from the ETMS was saved and archived, the system is no longer functioning for data entry.

After FOCUS is live for a while, ETMS will be turned off completely.

First and foremost, just recently rolled out is the updated Continuing Professional Training (CPT) and better report functionality.
We are in the process of adding CPT’s (Continuing Professional Training) to required Learners in many classifications as well as updating the courses that meet the requirements. These are trainings that are required on a recurring schedule (recertification/repeat intervals).?Please note, this will be in a bit of a limbo/grace period as we adjust the requirements and catch up to requirements/expirations that were met in the ETMS; compliance reports may be a bit off as we navigate between the two systems.?
