The Cultural Resources Division of the California Department of Parks and Recreation presents Publications in Cultural Heritage, No.32, titled Loveliest of Places: A Study of the Pre-Mansion Historical Resources of Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park. Volume 32 presents the results of three archaeological investigations at Bidwell Mansion SHP. Taken together this research provides a glimpse of early California life and culture through the lens of John Bidwell an important California pioneer.
