California State Parks maintains Statewide acquisition objectives in categories consistent with the Department's mission and operations.  These categories are:

2. Expanding Outdoor Recreational Opportunities
3. Significant Cultural Resources Properties
4. Natural Resources and Sustainable Ecosystems
5. Trail Connections and Corridor Acquisitions
6. Urban Parks Initiative
