Proposition 40 – 2002 Resources Bond

 

On March 5, 2002, voters passed Proposition 40 by 56.8 percent, the 2.6 billion dollar "California Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks, and Coastal Protection Act of 2002" (2002 Resources Bond). The passage of Proposition 40 provided funds for local assistance grants, as provided for in Sections 5096.600 through 5096.683 of the Public Resources Code. Link to Text of Proposition 40

ALLOCATIONS

 

Per Capita Grant Program
Proposition 40, the 2002 Resources Bond, includes a Per Capita grant program of $326,725,000. The Department of Parks and Recreation has prepared allocations for Per Capita grants under the 2002 Resources Bond.

Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris (RZH) Block Grant Program
The 2002 Resources Bond also provides $200,000,000 for the Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris (RZH) Grant Program.  $159,961,000 is available for Block Grants based on per capita.  The Department of Parks and Recreation has prepared allocations for RZH Block grants under the 2002 Resources Bond
