California State Parks closed Castle Crags State Park due to the Delta and Hirz fires in Shasta County. Although the park is currently not on fire, fire conditions are rapidly changing due to the alternating wind patterns. Out of abundance of caution, State Parks evacuated staff and visitors and the park will remain closed until further notice.
