Earth Day at Will Rogers

Description: Earth Day at WRSHP will be one of revival and regeneration as we celebrate the Park’s natural beauty and examine the history of its Flora and Fauna. The event is family oriented and will feature lawn games, button making and mechanical horse races for the little ones. We wish to honor the Will Rogers family by featuring the return of polo on the big field, history walks discussing Will Rogers on the property, lasso roping lessons and up close with horses opportunities. Two docent guided Inspiration Loop hikes will also discuss the plants that return first post-fire.

Volunteer 9:00AM - 11:00AM: Help remove invasive weeds at Will Rogers State Historic Park.  All ages welcome.  Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Bring garden gloves, hats, sunscreen, snacks, and water.  Removing invasive weeds protects important habitat for local wildlife and safeguards biodiversity.
