Guided Walk

Join State Park Docents for a moderate two-mile hike along the scenic Gray Whale Cove Trail at State Parks’ McNee Ranch at Montara. From the trail you will be able to view evidence in the landscape of the Ocean Shore Railroad and bunkers left over from the World War II era.

Starting location: Meet on the north side of the Gray Whale Cove State Beach parking lot on Highway 1. Look for the A-frame sign advertising the walk.

Time: 10 am - 12 pm

Parking: Free parking located at the Gray Whale Cove State Beach Parking Lot.

Preparation: Participants should wear sturdy hiking shoes and layered clothing. Bring sun protection, water, and snacks. You may also want to bring binoculars or a camera for wildlife viewing. Steady rain will cancel. Please pre-register using this link.
