Carmel River SB

Volunteer Day - Carmel River State Beach

2nd Saturday Volunteer Day: Carmel River State Beach

This event is sponsored by the Monterey District of California State Parks & the Point Lobos Foundation

We are happy to host a series of public volunteer work days every month. Come by yourself or with friends and family! Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

WHAT WE ARE DOING: Come on out to our volunteer day at beautiful Carmel River State Beach! Each month we'll take on a different project to help protect the park's unique ecosystems. Activities may include invasive plant control, habitat restoration, litter removal, sign and fence maintenance, and more! Details for this month's event will be posted here closer to the project date.

WHERE TO MEET: We usually meet at Ribera Beach trailhead located at the corner of Ribera Road and Cuesta Way in the Carmel Meadows neighborhood. Please check our program website for the latest information.

WHAT TO BRING: Water, closed-toe shoes, snacks, sunscreen, and hat. Gloves, tools, and training will be provided.

Please email volunteer.monterey@parks.ca.gov with any questions!

NOTE: Poor air quality from wildfires, or inclement weather due to rain or high winds, will cancel work days. Check here for updates and cancelations.
