Quagga ImageAll Vessels Require Inspection

Quagga and zebra mussels are small invasive freshwater mussels. These small mussels have the ability to rapidly reproduce, sticking onto both boats and lake infrastructure used to transport drinking water, causing millions of dollars of damage. To help keep our reservoir free of these invasive species, all vessels must be inspected before entering the lake. Your boat must be cleaned, drained, and dry upon inspection in order to pass. Any water, including rain and hose water due to our inability to test the water, will be subject to a failed inspection. If water or mussels are found, the boat will be placed on a eight day quarantine in which boaters will be unable to launch from both Lake Perris, Silverwood Lake, and Diamond Valley Lake. Learn more on our boating page
