The Cabins at Paso Picacho are available for reservation through Reserve California. There are five cabins to choose from:

Premium Cabin: Nature Den Cabin

Standard Cabins: Live Oak Cabin - Manzanita Cabin - Coulter Cabin

ADA Accessible Cabin: Cedar Cabin

 

Check-in is at 2 PM. Check-out is at 12 PM.

Your overnight parking pass is good for Day Use in the park for the rest of the day, but you must vacate your campsite by noon.

Cabin can accommodate up to 8 people if additional bedding is brought.

There is a lockable hasp on the door. Bring your own padlock.

Additional amenities include: an outdoor picnic table, a BBQ, and a fire ring outside.

Communal water faucets, restrooms, and pay showers are available nearby.

Due to possible snow or icy conditions, tire chains may be required to access this cabin from November through April.

Due to natural resource and traffic concerns, as well as limited Day Use parking, all reservations for family campsites and cabins will be limited to three license plated vehicles and/or trailers. Two vehicles may park at the site and one may park in the overflow day use lot.

Reservation fees include entry for 1 vehicle. Your second and third vehicles will be charged per night and will not be paid for when you make your reservation with Reserve California, even if you register them at the time of making a reservation. There are no charge for trailers.

Vehicles over 10 feet high are not recommended.

Pets, e.g. dogs & cats, must be controlled at all times. No horses allowed at the cabins. No pets allowed on trails except for Cuyamaca Peak lookout fire road, leashed.

There are 3 single beds without mattresses, and room to accommodate up to 8 either inside the den or in a tent outside if additional bedding is brought. Customers need to bring their own bedding, camping pad, or air mattress.

The Nature Den is minimally furnished with a small table, chairs, and a bench.

There is minimal electricity - enough to run a 1500-watt heater at most (heater not provided).

There is a small fireplace, but if you make a fire, it must be small. Customers need to bring wood or purchase it from a camp host, or the entry kiosk.

Campers are responsible to clean the den before vacating.

There is no other furniture in the cabin, and the floors are bare.

Visitors reserving Cedar must possess a DMV Disabled Placard or disabled license plates issued by DMV (or a similar agency of another state). A Disabled Veterans license plate will also be accepted when reserving or occupying an accessible campsite. At the time of check-in, visitors must show the DMV placard. The disabled visitor must be an occupant of the site for the entire reservation period.

No refunds will be issued for invalid reservations.
