Tryout Dates

The Mendocino Coast Junior Lifeguard Program is not a “learn to swim” program, therefore prospective participants (ages 9 -15) must have a minimum level of competency to insure safety within the group.

Tryouts 10am to noon, Saturday, May 11

The tryout consists of:

100 yard swim in under 3 minutes, swim 5 yards underwater and tread water for 3 minutes.

Participants must swim Freestyle (and can include Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly) No Dog Paddle

Returning JG’s do not have to requalify
