Students on grove tour

Our programs at California Citrus State Historic Park aims to provide students with a better understanding of the history of citrus from its origins to the present day in a period setting replicating the height of the citrus industry in the Riverside area. Students will learn how California’s second gold rush (citrus) helped shape and develop California today (economically, culturally, and technologically). They will learn the significance of the citrus industry in the Riverside area, throughout California, and the world.

Our virtual learning programs create an accessible opportunity for students to learn about our citrus heritage, while our in-person program embarks students on a guided hike and museum tour. All programs are designed to correlate with NGSS and HSS content standards for the designated grade level of that program.
