The Backbone Trail  (BBT) is one of Southern California's prized outdoors possession. The BBT offers a return to the "wild of the west"  admidst the urban clutter of the southland. The Backbone Trail is a 60-mile ride winding along the spine of the Santa Monica Mountains between it start at Will Rogers State Park in Pacific Palisades and the Pacific Ocean at Point Mugu State Park in Ventura County.

Riders and hikers move through green canyons and small creeks with views of the Channel Islands and single family super mansions. A real trail from the Inspiration Loop to the Pacific, riding, hiking or running the Backbone Trail is a trip through California's Riviera.
