The Capital District's Second Saturdays feature a variety of family-friendly activities. “Although activities will vary each month, parents can count on there always being something new and interesting happening on Second Saturday afternoons,” says Cathy Taylor, Superintendent of the Capital District.  Each month we will have a theme, often tied to current exhibits. Activities will include: gallery tours, hands-on projects for all ages, festival formats with a range of music and performance entertainment, and lots of fun, Taylor adds.

"Sacramento's Second Saturday Art Walks have introduced thousands of people to Sacramento ’s expanding art community. California State Parks wants to pay tribute to that while offering programs for the whole family at many of our historic museums,” says Paul Hammond, Media Director for the Capital District. “Our Second Saturday programs give everyone the chance to visit our museums and will help parents to introduce their children to California's history.”
