Public Hours and Tours

The exhibit area of the Statewide Museum Collections Center is open to the public Tuesday thru Friday, 1-4pm. Admission is free. The exhibit explores the origins and breadth of State Parks collections and the work done by the cultural specialists who care for historic documents and artifacts. The Center is a working collections management facility; tours of the collections are available by reservation. Tours of the collection offer an “open storage” view of the diversity of cultural materials that have been generated by the research and acquisition efforts of park units throughout the state. The tour will entail more than a half mile of walking through the storage vaults and processing areas. Public tours may be arranged by calling Reserve America at 866-361-5111.
