California's strength and influence are well known the world over. A major source of our strength is the diversity of our culture and history. Two bronze seals, the California Indian Seal and the Spanish/Mexican Seal, were created to commemorate this source of strength. On May 28, 2002, the seals were installed in front of the State Capitol flanking the Great Seal of California. Watch our video about these important works of art.
