Buffalo Brewing Company

This Buffalo Brewing Company bottle is made of amber glass, has an applied liquor finish and is embossed with an image of a buffalo jumping through a horseshoe and "BUFFALO BREWING CO/SACRAMENTO, CAL.". Buffalo Brewing Company was founded by Herbert Grau in Sacramento, 1888, but the first beer did not reach the shelves until mid 1890. This bottle, the most common Buffalo Brewing Co. bottle used, was recovered from Old Sacramento SHP in 1975.
