The Dwelling

This is where we lived. I'm sorry to say it's no longer at the point. The same construction crew that built the tower and the fog signal built it. It was a four-plex dwelling and was large enough to house all of us- the four keepers and our families. It was a grand house and I was sorry to see it go when, in 1960, a new outfit tore it down. I think they call themselves the Coast Guard.

The new structures, four three-bedroom houses, are used today as a hostel.
