CSRMF logoThe mission of the California State Railroad Museum Foundation (CSRMF) is to raise and manage funds to support the California State Railroad Museum and assist California State Parks in carrying out the mission of the museum.

The CSRMF supports the museum’s mission: to collect, preserve and interpret selected aspects of railroads and railroading, with an emphasis on California and the West, for the education, enjoyment and entertainment of the widest possible audience.

The CSRMF provides funding for ongoing support of numerous programs, both at the museum’s Old Sacramento location and at the affiliated Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown. The programs the CSRMF supports include exhibits, excursion railroad operations, library operations, collections management, marketing, community relations, facility rentals, filming, interpretive publications, and volunteer recognition.

The California State Railroad Museum Foundation is an official cooperating association with California State Parks and a nonprofit, public benefit corporation.
