Restoration Architect
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an architect issued by the California State Board of Architectural Examiners or the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of: Principles of architectural planning and design as they relate to the restoration or historic rehabilitation of a building or group of buildings; research techniques and preservation issues; building codes as they relate to historic structures; building costs; restoration or rehabilitation vs. new construction; adaptive uses of historic structures; structural, mechanical and electrical engineering as related to buildings; American architectural history.
Ability to: Accurately analyze problems and make mature professional judgments; establish and maintain cooperative working relations; present information clearly and effectively in written and pictorial forms; perform work within established schedules.
